Oya Celasun is the Deputy Division Chief of the North America Division of the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department. Prior to joining the United States and Canada teams in late 2008, she spent 6 years in the IMF’s Research Department. Her work has mainly focused on issues related to public debt sustainability, sovereign risk and corporate debt, inflation, and the costs of unpredictable aid flows in low-income countries.
