Deniz Igan is a Senior Economist in the Western Hemisphere Department of the IMF and currently covers the fiscal sector for the United States. She was previously an Economist in the IMF’s Research Department, with responsibility for policy analysis and research on macro-financial linkages and financial regulation, as well as real estate market vulnerability assessments in the context of the joint IMF-FSB Early Warning Exercise.
