Ravi Balakrishnan is the Deputy Chief of the North American Division in the Western Hemisphere Department. He works on the United States and is also the Mission Chief for Bolivia. He was the IMF’s Resident Representative based in Singapore during 2010-13, and has also worked on the World Economic Outlook. His research interests cover labor dynamics, inequality, inflation dynamics, exchange rate dynamics, and capital flows.
