Selim Elekdag is the Deputy Division Chief of the Global Financial Stability Division at the IMF. Previously, he held various positions in the IMF’s Research Department, as well as the European and Asia Pacific Departments, including as the Fund’s mission chief for Aruba. He also spent two years as an Advisor at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey’s Research and Monetary Policy Department. His research interests focus on macro-financial issues, and have been published in respected academic journals. He holds a PhD in Economics from the John Hopkins University.
