Tidiane Kinda is an economist in the Regional Studies Division of the IMF’s Asia and Pacific Department, and also serves as Assistant to the Director of the department. He previously worked in the IMF’s African Department and Fiscal Affairs Department, including on country teams covering the Euro Area, Canada, Croatia, Moldova, Chad, and Swaziland.
Mr. Kinda’s work experience prior to the IMF includes the World Bank’s Research Department and the Research Division of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO). He has published widely on various topics, including fiscal policy, fiscal rules, inequality, and capital flows. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from CERDI-Université de Clermont in France, where he taught macroeconomics and applied econometrics.
